COVID, along with dining restrictions, have made many of us dedicated home bodies. But what happens when you crave for something beyond the realms of Deliveroo and FoodPanda and into the territory of fancier dining? Don’t fret, because we’ve got a gilded list for just such an occasion, so you can savour the best of Hong Kong fine dining from the comforts of home, pyjamas dress code accepted.

Estro (A Casa)

Our casa is your casa, or in the case of Estro, their kitchen is yours. One of our favorite new openings of this past year, Estro by JIA Group has been winning plenty of praise for its vibrant, flavorful interpretations of Southern Italian cuisine. Now, you can impress your family and guests at home with their curated sharing menu, starting with their delicious (and highly addictive) bread basket, followed by soup, pasta, a main and a trio of desserts. Priced at $1,680 for a menu for two, it’s a sure way to turn up the romance dial for a special night in. Available for pick-up as well as delivery, simply reheat for a taste of Chef Antimo’s magic in your own home.

Salisterra

Bring a taste of the Mediterranean to your dining table, without breaking a sweat. The dinner hamper ($950) from Salisterra is not only sumptuous and packed full of goodies the likes of a whole roasted whole miso-marinated chicken, their signature FOMO potatoes and fluffy, sugar-dusted bombolinis, but also comes in a sustainable wooden box perfect for using in home organization later. Tag on extra goodies like their charcuterie plate, burrata hazelnut starter or a few bottles of wine and Saicho sparkling tea for an extra bit of indulgence. We still can’t get over how tender and juicy that chicken was, and how it arrived still piping hot in that beautifully packaged box.

MONO

Enjoy a hefty dose of vibrant South American flavors with Michelin-starred MONO’s new dinner set for two ($1,788). Created by Chef Ricardo Chaneton, drawing on the flavors of his childhood, the takeaway dinner set is a blending of rustic flavors with fine dining execution. Start with the signature quinoa sourdough before dipping into the Galician octopus salad and either whole chargrilled wild-caught sea bass or a carnivore’s feast of barbecued beef and sausages. Chocolate tart and classic dulce de leche cookies add a sweet finish, as does the sparkling Miolo Brazilian wine. For a lighter touch, there’s the Latin American aperitif set ($788) which includes four beef empanadas and a bottle of sparkling wine. Advanced 24-hour ordering required.

Date by Tate

Date by Tate offers gastronomic indulgence in the form of an intricately curated multi-tiered bento box ($1580), that’s perfect for fancy takeaway as well as outdoor picnics. The wooden tiffin box comes with freshly baked bread, four small starters, one main course, dessert and petit fours. A set of six cutlery, wrapped in a leather pouch, ensures that just because you’re eating takeaway, doesn’t mean you can’t do it in style. Although, sadly, both the wooden box and cutleries will need to be returned after use.
