Jimmy’s Kitchen re-opens in the Pedder Building

Jimmy’s Kitchen, a beloved Hong Kong institution, has made a triumphant return with the reopening of its doors in the iconic Pedder Building in Central, four years after its closure.

The redesigned space features various dining areas, including a casual lounge, cocktail bar, crudo bar, main dining rooms, and a cozy private dining room, accommodating up to 160 guests.

Hong Kong-born executive chef Russell Doctrove aims to preserve its old-world charm while infusing his own contemporary spin on the menu. Diners can expect the return of classic dishes like the Chicken Supreme ‘Kiev’ ($238), Jimmy’s Chicken Madras ($228) and Baked Alaska ($228 to share) which continue to captivate diners with their authentic flavors and timeless appeal.

The crudo bar takes the spotlight with new additions like the King Crab Leg (HK$228) served with a citrus hollandaise brulée, and the Bluefin Tuna (HK$188) accompanied by roasted eggplant and toasted buckwheat.

The restaurant’s redesign, led by designer Hernan Zanghellini, seamlessly blends elements from different design periods, adding a touch of sophistication to the space.

As Jimmy’s Kitchen reestablishes itself, it welcomes both loyal patrons and newcomers to savor an unforgettable dining experience that combines tradition, innovation, and a dash of 21st-century flair. Salisterra Debuts New Menu

Salisterra at The Upper House, unveils an enticing new menu curated by acclaimed culinary advisor, Chef Ricardo Chaneton. Drawing inspiration from his experiences in Denia, Spain, and Menton, France, Chef Chaneton’s Mediterranean-inspired creations pay homage to his Italian heritage and a passion for heartfelt cooking. Salisterra’s dining room offers a stunning backdrop to savor the bold and contemporary flavors of the region. From the refreshing Green Asparagus Soup with hints of lemon and thyme to the meticulously crafted Stuffed Zucchini filled with couscous and mozzarella, every dish showcases the finest local produce and seasonal Mediterranean ingredients. Indulge in the enticing Meloso Rice, a Spanish bomba rice delicacy topped with roasted artichokes and morel mushrooms. Conclude the culinary journey with a slice of the delectable Pastafrola Pie, filled with seasonal fruits and accompanied by Madagascan vanilla Chantilly cream. MONO Unplugged


MONO presents an extraordinary culinary collaboration in its 10th edition of MONO Unplugged. Chef Ricardo Chaneton of the MICHELIN-starred restaurant MONO will host Asia’s Best Female Chef 2024, Chef Pichaya “Pam” Soontorniyakij of Restaurant POTONG on April 23 and 24 at MONO in Hong Kong, serving a fusion of cultural heritage and modern gastronomy. Chef Chaneton draws inspiration from his Italian-Venezuelan heritage to create memorable dishes, while Chef Soontorniyakij will showcase her progressive Thai-Chinese cuisine, known for its mastery of the 5-elements philosophy “Salt, Acid, Spice, Texture, and Millard Reaction.”  Diners can expect a unique and personal dining experience that combines their distinctive culinary expertise. Cuisine Cuisine at The Mira invites guests to embrace the arrival of spring with their new culinary offering, “Spring Equinox Harmony: A Nourishing Symphony of Flavours.” Chinese Executive Chef Edwin Tang has curated a menu that celebrates the season and incorporates premium ingredients with Traditional Chinese Medicine properties, providing an elevated dining experience while boosting vitality and immunity.

Priced at HK$988 per person, the limited-time menu (available until April 30) features six dishes, including the nourishing Double-boiled Chicken Soup with Fresh Korean Ginseng and Schizandra Berry, as well as a delicate dessert of Double-boiled Aloe Vera Sweet Soup with Dried Longan and Goji Berry.

The culinary team artfully combine precious roots, mushrooms, herbs, and berries known for their Traditional Chinese Medicine properties to create dishes that not only delight the palate but also promote health and well-being. Their creations are thoughtfully designed to harmonize with the ever-changing weather influenced by Hong Kong’s sub-tropical climate.

Carna by Dario Cecchini

Located in the newly-opened Mondrian hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, Italian Steakhouse Carna by Dario Cecchini introduces its enticing Nose-to-tail Weekend Brunch. Led by renowned butcher Dario Cecchini of Netflix’s Chef’s Table fame, Carna embraces sustainable dining with a traditional Tuscan twist.

Perched on the 39th floor with stunning harbor views, this Joyce Wang-designed restaurant provides an intimate setting for guests. Carna’s weekend brunch features five unlimited, free-flow homemade appetizers, including signature dishes like beef tartare and roasted beef tonnato. Indulge in unlimited servings of Rigatoni with Braised Beef Tripe for the pasta course, followed by a generous Charcoal Grill platter of grilled meats for sharing. End on a sweet note with their Tiramisù di Casa.

Chef Jordi Vallés Claverol from Sheung Wan’s newest Italian Mediterranean eatery, Juno, has launched a fabulous new weekend brunch menu. Priced at HK$308 per person the menu features two appetizers, a main course, and a dessert. Choose from options like Butternut Pumpkin Soup, Caviar d’Aubergine, Burrata Pugliese and Lobster & Prawns Open Omelette. Mains include their signature Juno Truffle Tagliolini, sustainable fish Côte d’Azur-style, and citrussy Pork Ribs. Alibi – Wine Dine Be Social

Step into the enigmatic world of mixology at Alibi – Wine Dine Be Social at Cordis, Hong Kong. On April 10, from 8pm to midnight, award-winning mixologist Jackie Lo and head bartender Lips Xia from Shanghai’s famous Sugar Area rum bar will take over Alibi for a one-night-only guest shift. Takumi Mixology Salon

Causeway Bay’s drinking scene welcomes an exciting addition with the arrival of Takumi Mixology Salon. Housed within the premises as new Japanese restaurant Teppanyaki Mihara Goten, this hidden gem brings the bespoke Japanese cocktail bar experience to the city. Inspired by takumi, the Japanese word for ‘artisan,’ the salon focuses on tailor-made cocktails and captures the essence of Japan’s renowned cocktail bars, where each cocktail is uniquely crafted to align with the guest’s preferences. Here, seasonal ingredients, often reflective of Japan’s rich kaiseki tradition, are a cornerstone of the Takumi experience. Michelin-starred chef Henrique Sá Pessoa introduces the ‘Costa a Costa’ Degustation Journey at Chiado, one of the famed restaurants at The Londoner® Macao. Dine for a worthy cause

The Great Chefs of Hong Kong is back following a five-year hiatus, returning on Monday, 6 May, 2024 at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. Over 50 prominent chefs from the city’s top hotels and restaurants will participate in this unique culinary event which raises funds for the Heep Hong Society, a non-profit organisation that supports children with special needs.

The one-night-only event showcases the incredible culinary diversity of Hong Kong with Michelin-starred establishments including Forum (3 stars), Octavium (2 stars), and Feuille (1 star and 1 green star).
