Dear Lulu Jeh: I am casually seeing this guy. I am not sure where we are headed. However, we’ve been “together” for more than a year and a half, and I can’t bring myself to end it. What should I do? — Half-In, Half-Out
Hi HIHO: You have to be honest with yourself here. Are you with this guy because you like him, or are you with this guy because you want to be with a guy — any guy?
It’s very easy to fall into a false sense of security when you have been with someone for a while. You have grown comfortable with him yet you wonder what life would be like without him. If you are having these thoughts on a regular basis, then it’s time to move on.
If you’re not worried about labels and don’t have anyone else lined up: why not just go with the flow. But if you’re ready to turn this into the real deal, then just tell him, woman! The worst is he’ll say no and you’ll lose him: but then again you never really had him to begin with. — Lulu
