We are highlighting some of the most inventive cocktails emerging in different bars this month, all using unexpected ingredients to create flavorful twists on classic tipples, these creations are certainly taking mixology to the next level.

Club Rangoon is celebrating the Lighting Festival of Myanmar Thadingyut this month with several special dishes and exclusive concoctions. The cocktail Golden Hour draws inspiration from the emblazoned skies as lanterns fly and fireworks are set off across every neighborhood in Myanmar during the celebration. Combining whisky with orange liqueur, orange juice, citrus solution and Burmese curry powder, this drink is served on ice in a classic clay cup, with masala flames to finish. Available on 8 & 9 October 2022 only.

DarkSide

Darkside Ecospirits Hong Kong

Rosewood Hong Kong’s DarkSide is collaborating with the world’s first closed-loop spirits technology ecoSPIRITS, to create a series of innovative, climate-friendly cocktails to the Hong Kong audience. We recommend trying the cocktail ecoLADA, which is a floral and refreshing interpretation of the classic Pina Colada, the drink is comprised of low-waste Plantation Dark rum infused with Rosewood bars’ surplus coconut oil and leftover salted lime cordial, mixed with homemade, low-waste Tried & True Vodka infused with pineapple skin and pandan. Available from 10 October 2022 onwards.

Mr. Wolf

Mr. Wolf celebrates the milestone anniversary of five years with an enticing dinner menu featuring elevated European bistro dishes and drinks. Guests are invited to indulge in a classic cocktail or opt for a more whimsical creation like the Mrs. Wolf egg white cocktail made with tequila, Ginger Canton, elderflower liqueur, pistachio and lime. Available from 14 October 2022.

From rhubarb infused rum to re-distilled oyster vodka, the unique cocktails on Cafe BARCODE’s drinks list keep getting more imaginative and more instagrammable. Must-try cocktail is definitely Beyond The Clouds, which is a tropical cocktail with sweet and tangy notes, made with croissant vodka, strawberry  jam, and lemon juice, which is then topped with vanilla cotton candy made to order at the bar.

Candour

Peel Street’s hip-hop lounge and cocktail bar Candour is launching a brand new Ladies’ Night menu. Regulars will be familiar with Candour’s gin-based Green Light with tarragon chartreuse, sugar snap pea, honeydew and lime that makes for refreshing sips with subtly herbal notes. The Coconut Daiquiri will be a tropical twist on a classic, which uses a coconut fat-washed rum and citrus cordial resulting in a true seasonal delight. Finally, between 8 to 9pm, all ladies can toast with Lillet Blanc highballs on the house for the hour – a bubbly quencher complete with cucumber, mint, raspberry, lemon and soda. Available at Candour’s PLANET HER Ladies’ Night every Wednesday from 21 September 2022 onwards.

Known for serving authentic Mexican dishes with innovative twists, PABLO presents a new cocktail series infused with the flavors of Mexico. If you’re excited to explore margaritas featuring special Mexican elements – the creamy Guacamole Margarita is definitely one to try. Who knew avocado puree worked just as well in cocktails as in nachos? Or go with the Mezcal NegroniPABLO’s special recipe for this drink is pre-mixed and left to mature in a wooden container for a week to create a balanced, multi-layered cocktail that starts with the strong taste of negroni and mellows into a pleasing smoky vanilla aftertaste.

Quinary is collaborating with Austrian spirit brand Fernet Hunter to offer a line up of limited-time-only cocktail menu. Out of all the tantalizing options, Heidi Berry deserves a special mention – this delicious cocktail gathers the richly flavoured Fernet Hunter Granit and luscious blueberry shrub, as well as carbonated herbal lemonade to bring a subtle sugariness and fizziness. Available from 20 September till 31 October 2022.

Fruity, floral and thirst-quenching, Osmanthus Remedy is everything one could ask for when it comes to picking an effervescent drink. Incorporating the delicate scent of osmanthus into craft gin with a blend of herbal tonic water, raspberry and a dash of honey to round up the flavors, this delightful drink at Room 309 offers a floral-forward profile with a lingering herbaceous flare that tastes nostalgic, yet modern. Available until 15 October 2022.
