It doesn’t seem like anything’s going to change in the near future, so let’s take a simple look at how we can take advantage of our shoe box flats.
Ghosts beware: you’ve got nowhere to hide. Don’t even think about sneaking up on us — our bed’s so close to the door we’ll hear you coming before you reach it. In fact, the size of our crazy-small-sized apartment is probably scarier than you.
Oh, don’t get us wrong: this isn’t by choice. But it also teaches us to live within our means. With no room to hide our junk, we’ve got no option other than not to have it.
Small place = less to clean. And since we’ve all become minimalists we’ve got less to pick up, too!
Well, living in a small space allows us to declutter our lives with things we don’t need and only live with what’s necessary. In turn, it becomes easier to organize ourselves and lead a more strategic life. That’s what we keep telling ourselves, anyway.
‘Oh, I haven’t seen or heard from you in years and you want to stay at my place so you can save money on a hotel? Well, as much as I’d love to have you use up all my expensive shampoo and drink the last of my coffee, unfortunately my room barely fits me.’
That’s all for now, we’ll carry on complaining as usual.
