“Oh, you live in Sheung Wan? I love Sheung Wan”.

They say don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it. Well, we’ve tried it. And while we’re not exactly about to knock it, we are going to give you the low down on what life’s really like in one of Hong Kong’s most hipster hoods. 


1. When you finally live close enough to the harbor to enjoy it, but some people just don’t get it.

10. You’ve given up on the never-ending lines at the HSBC ATM on Bonham Strand so now your withdrawals come in $500 increments from Circle K and 7-Eleven.

11. If you’re a guy, you’ve definitely been checked out by a couple of dudes hanging out at the bars Sheung Wan was once known for on your way home.
